Ben has been appointed as arbitrator in a large number of maritime arbitrations and is available generally to accept appointments in appropriate cases. He handled one of the leading cases relating to arbitration law determining the scope of the arbitration exception set out in the Brussels Convention and the Judgment Regulation and has experience dealing with the restraint of court proceedings brought in breach of an agreement to arbitrate as well as all aspects of appeals to the English courts from arbitral awards.
